What is measured
The curve is a measured series, or an extrapolation that names its series, fit, and break condition. The bound is an argued ceiling. The distance between them is the subject.
A claim is Measured, Extrapolated, Modeled, or Argued. Only a dated forecast with a named external source can be scored. As of 9 October 2026, open forecasts are 0. The time-horizons page used for the first records is no longer actively updated, so no software-horizon forecast is open.
What is not measured
Version 0.1 does not score equity prices, unemployment, extinction probabilities, or policy recommendations. Citation counts, demo videos, and vendor leaderboards are not instruments. An empty instrument line is empty, not zero.
Third-party series remain under their own terms. They are cited, not relicensed.
Rules
The book of rows is the Ledger. The scoring contract is Claim classes. A forecast opens only through the Opening threshold. The six gaps are Domains. The ceiling already issued is Bound. The unnumbered gap is Distance.
Check log
Controlling pages and the ledger are checked once a week, in the seven days ending Friday, America/New_York. The log is the Check log. A week with no change reads: No correction. Week ending [date]. A change that would alter a reading is a new version, issued the same day, with the old sentence kept.
